Ode to Pia

Sophie. Who would have thought that there was still room in our hearts....



For another little girl.....



You were exactly what we needed.....



Your soft little cry....



Your sweet little face.....even the nurse noticed your beautiful lips.



Your look a lot like your dad....he was beginning to wonder.



You made having a second child easy....



Sleeping through the night at 1 month 10 days (who's counting?) and never looking back....



Your laid back attitude has allowed us to do some fun things....





....while still waiting for some others (crawling, walking, talking, you know, the basics)

At one year you are:
- Rolling across the floor at increasingly greater speeds.
- Not eating any more baby food. Only solids. You recently discovered pizza. Oooh yah!
- The bottemless pit, if we didn't stop feeding you, you wouldn't stop eating.
- Putting weight on your legs for longer amounts of time.
- Loving bath time

(even if it's really short and your big sister takes all your toys away from you)
- Being carried around by a loving sister.
- Still slightly scared of your loving sister.
- Dancing like the future winner of "So you think you can dance?" when you hear music.
- Cooing and babbling in the cutest little voice.
- Pointing your little finger at things you notice and/or want, and "talking".
- Lying on the floor in a very dramatic fashion when you don't get your way.
- Tiny! You look more like an 8 month old (don't take offense, you'll love it when you're older)
- Light haired, dark eyed, and dark skinned. Beautiful!!



We are so glad you've joined our family Sophie. Happy 1st Birthday. We love you!!!
