Despite the less-than-ideal Spring weather, we really enjoyed and took full advantage of Easter festivities this year. We kicked things off with our annual egg decorating.
There were a lot of creative new designs...Easter eggs taken to a whole new level. Rich made our family "in eggs" and my only regret is that I didn't take a photo, it could have been a new family portrait....it was that realistic (even Winnie the dog got her face on an egg). I did get the one of me (above) and I'm seriously considering using it as a Facebook profile picture. Hazel had fun sticking the crayons up her nose.
Bright and early Easter morning we awoke to some Easter surprises. The Easter Bunny had in fact gotten our change of address and had come to our home to scatter our painted eggs and baskets for each of the girls.
That evening, we had most of my family over for an Easter feast. Yum! Afterwards the kids watched an Easter movie while we hid some eggs for them.
Our house is bursting with candy. It gives me have a tooth ache just thinking about it. But it is all worth it, of course. The girls love their new stuffed animals the Easter Bunny brought them and spending time with family makes the holiday even better.
